Pastor Mark Greiner, FFC Advisory Committee

Pastor Mark Greiner comes to the Takoma Park Presbyterian Church after serving the First Presbyterian Church of Baldwin, New York for nine years; he was ordained as a minister of the Word and Sacrament in 1992. He is also a certified teacher of the Enneagram, which is a tool for spiritual growth and development.

Pastor Greiner has traveled extensively, studying with the World Council of Churches in Geneva, Switzerland and the Middle East Council of Churches in Egypt, Palestine and Israel. He has a heart for building bridges between people of different faiths and cultures.

His publications include “Apocalypse and Recovery” in “Out of the Depths: Voices of the Presbyterian Faith Community At Work After September 11.”

Mark is a potter as well as a pastor, plays percussion, and has a penchant for puns. Kolya Braun-Greiner, his wife, is a religious educator, curriculum writer and consultant. They have one daughter, Sophia.
