Ezra Wexler is a Junior in the Communication Arts Program at Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring. Though he isn’t the only one wearing a yarmulke at Blair anymore, he is one of very few. Ezra likes to make short films and animations, and hopes to work in the film industry some day.
Participating in this contest has made me look deeper into Christianity and Islam than I had before. This year especially, thinking and writing about the prophets of Christianity and Islam made me realize how purely basic my knowledge of them had been before. This contest has awakened in me a desire to learn more about Christianity and Islam so that I may better understand these religions.
Believers in any of the Abrahamic faiths should be able to work together for a compassionate goal, for even though each faith teaches compassion in its own unique way, compassion is a major underlying component of all faith.
