Essay Abstract: One usually doesn’t think of religion in terms of what it can tell humanity about environmental stewardship? It is a different outlook on religion, but there are definitely ways that religion and its holy scriptures guide humanity on the importance of the environment on a spiritual and logical level. The Holy Scriptures of the Abrahamic faiths of Christianity, Islam and Judaism blatantly state that taking care of our environment is a divine mandate. The environment is not solely something to be admired; it is something that needs to be preserved based on the morals of human beings.

On the value of the Children of Abraham project:  “This year's award ceremony was amazing! It was well-organized, beautifully arranged, and the location was gorgeous. I think that one of the most memorable parts was the key note speaker as she gave great words of wisdom, encouragement, and inspiration. Additionally, I loved the candle light ceremony since its symbolism gave me a great feeling. This program meant a lot to me in the sense that it has given me the opportunity to advocate my passions, speak my mind, and enjoy myself in peace endeavours. Another great part was seeing the fusion of different people of different religions coming together helping out on a common issue.”
